However, keeping a balance amount of Rs.3-5 lakhs in your bank Fixed Deposit account is an added advantage and the confidence of a visa officer will be enhanced during the processing of the application. Furthermore, applicants should also be prepared to show an amount NZD$ 1000 per month, for a period of 9 months as a proof of funds, towards living, travel, and relocation if needed be. In the initial days of your stay at New Zealand, these funds would be helpful to take care of the living expenses.
